EXPLORING THE THEME OF "COEXISTENCE"
The 2026 edition revolves around the theme Coexistence.
At its core, the theme asks a simple but important question: How do humans live alongside nature?
From wildlife navigating human-dominated landscapes to communities adapting to environmental change, coexistence is visible across countless aspects of daily life. It is where ecology, culture, livelihoods, policy, and conservation intersect.
This year, the fund is particularly interested in stories that move beyond familiar wildlife narratives and uncover lesser-known, surprising, and underrepresented relationships between people and the natural world.
Filmmakers are encouraged to explore fresh perspectives, unconventional subjects, and voices that have traditionally received limited attention in environmental cinema.
