Fully Funded Research Fellowship for International Artists and Researchers in Venice, Italy
Applications are now open for the Tentacular Fellowship 2026–2027, a prestigious international fellowship based in Venice, Italy. This 15-month initiative supports artists, researchers, curators, collectives, educators, ecological practitioners, and interdisciplinary creatives interested in developing long-term projects connected to the social, cultural, and environmental realities of the Venetian Lagoon.
About the Tentacular Fellowship
The Tentacular Fellowship is an initiative-building program designed to support experimental, collaborative, and community-driven projects that create meaningful ecological and social impact within the Venice Lagoon. Rather than funding a standalone artwork, the fellowship encourages participants to develop long-term initiatives that engage local communities, institutions, researchers, and civic organizations.
The selected fellow or collective will establish a Tentacular Unit, a collaborative platform bringing together artists, students, researchers, local communities, and institutions around a shared socio-environmental challenge.
